dc.description.abstractThis letter presents a unified analytical frameworkfor the computation of the ergodic capacity and the outageprobability of relay-assisted mixed FSO/RF transmission.Inaddition to accounting for different FSO detection techniques, themathematical model offers a twofold unification of mixed FSO/RFsystems by considering mixed Málaga-M/κ-μshadowed fading,which includes as special cases nearly all linear turbulence/fadingmodels adopted in the open literature.en_US
